The Challenge
Why Active Lifestyle For All?
Physical inactivity is rising rapidly in urban India, with underserved communities facing limited access to safe spaces, structured programs and sustained motivation for exercise. This leads to unhealthy sedentary lifestyles and a growing burden of non-communicable diseases.
Active Lifestyle For All is a structured, multi-channel intervention designed by Hyderabad Runners Society (HRS) to promote health, wellness and social inclusion among underserved populations in Hyderabad. Without inclusive, low-cost and community-led interventions, preventable health inequities will continue to deepen in cities like Hyderabad.

What We Do
Programs
8-week beginner-friendly running program for urban underserved communities through structured mentorship and training.
Simple exercises for middle-aged NGO beneficiaries aged 18β45 who lack access to space and time for regular exercise.
Sponsored participation in Hyderabad Runners marathon events in the 5K and 10K categories.
Play-based fitness for underserved children during summer vacation through trained coaches.
8-Week Program

Lack of access to safe spaces, trainers and structured programs often prevents underserved communities from engaging in regular physical activity. Active Lifestyle for All is Hyderabad Runners’ initiative designed specifically to bridge this gap β bringing accessible, guided and beginner-friendly running programs directly into these communities, enabling individuals to take their first steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
Over 8 weeks, participants receive structured training and mentorship that helps them safely build endurance, confidence and consistency β making fitness achievable even without prior exposure or resources.

Since 2017 Β· 8-Week Camp
Outdoor Kids’ Summer Camp is Hyderabad Runners’ flagship initiative focused on introducing children from underserved communities to the benefits of physical activity and healthy living. Since 2017, the program has been nurturing fitness, confidence, discipline and resilience through structured, running-based activities β helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong wellness.
Conducted over 8 weeks, the camp offers guided training sessions led by experienced mentors, creating a fun, safe and engaging environment for children to stay active. The program culminates in a Graduation Run, celebrating each child’s progress and encouraging a sense of achievement and belonging.
